Musée de la vie frontalière
The Border's life museum

Situated in the former presbytery, the museum shows mainly objects used by the custom's service and the smugglers. For example, there is a motorcycle with a fuel tank arranged in order to carry tobacco...

Following a funny but interresting visit, you will learn that more than 50 officers were living in the village, and more than twice this amount of smugglers.

You will be able to understand that a man-made border change the life of the people of the residents around.

The border being erased since 1993, the museum wants to be a tribute to the amity between nations.

Working a lot with custom services, temporary exhibitions take place from year to year. In this way, in 2009, counterfeited Rollex watches or car spare parts underline the dangers of forgery.

The museum is opened from March, 1st to October, 31st, between 14:00 and 17:00 from wednesdays to saturdays, and on the first and second Sundays of everymonth.
